Suzuki School of Newton Artist Concert Series will present H.I.P. Brahms: a benefit concert featuring Historically Informed Performances (H.I.P) of Johannes Brahms’ Horn Trio, Op. 40 and Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60.
Performers include Suzuki School of Newton faculty, members of Boston's Grand Harmonie, and 19th-century performance expert David Kim (piano). All ticket sales will directly support Suzuki School of Newton student scholarships.
The Artist Concert Series was established to present high caliber, renowned artists as part of the educational experience of SSN students and the ongoing cultural and intellectual life of the local community. SSN scholarships are supported in part by the Artist Concert Series, with 100% of the ticket proceeds deposited directly into the scholarship fund.
No child is turned away from the Suzuki School of Newton for financial hardship—the James Thornblade Memorial Scholarship Fund provides need-based tuition assistance for students from diverse backgrounds and communities throughout eastern Massachusetts.
